The Kamiak Show Band

The Kamiak Show Band was founded along with the rest of the school when it opened in 1993. It began under the direction of Brian Steves, the current Director of Orchestras at Kamiak. In 2006, the band director position was handed over to Toby Bathurst, the current director of bands. He has allowed the staff of the show band to grow with many instructors with drum corps backgrounds, most notably with the addition of Nick Benson, current program coordinator. In 2020, assistant band director Patrick Hunninghake joined Kamiak, also becoming the director of the show band. Click below to find out what makes this program more than just a marching band.
